Asta Sweater is knitted from the top down with stripes. First, the upper part of the back is knitted back and forth, where the shoulder slope is shaped with reverse knitting needles, while the stripes are knitted in. Then the shoulders are knitted separately, also back and forth on circular needles. The shoulders are gathered at the front to form the front piece. When the back and front piece are finished, they are gathered to form the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needles with stripes. The sleeves are knitted from picked up stitches along the armholes. Finally, the neckline is knitted from picked up stitches in the neckline.
Choosing a size: Asta Sweater has a positive ease of movement of approximately 10–18 cm. Measure yourself before you start knitting to find the size that best suits you. For example, if you measure 95 cm around the chest (or the widest part of your body), you should choose size M. A sweater in size M has an upper width of 110 cm and thus provides a movement of 15 cm.
