SAGA SWEATER

Saga Sweater is knitted from the top down in stripes. First, the upper part of the back is knitted with increases. Then the shoulders are knitted from picked up stitches at the top of the back piece. Pick up stitches along the shoulders, and the rest of the yoke is knitted together on circular needles, first back and forth and then in the round. The body is knitted in the round on circular needles, and the sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. Finally, a folded rib is knitted in the neck opening.

Choosing a Size: Saga Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of 10-15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Measure yourself before you start knitting to assess which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the chest (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has a width of 105 cm and in the example mentioned will give a positive ease of movement of 15 cm.
